Original Country Songs

Welcome to SouthernSound.US, a country music project born in 2025 featuring 32 original songs written for both male and female voices.

SouthernSound.US began with a simple idea: to see whether country songs could be created outside the traditional Nashville system. What started as lyrics written by an independent songwriter in Alabama gradually grew into a full collection of songs exploring the storytelling of humor, love, faith, heartbreak, justice and defiance that define country music.

Like many independent creators, I faced the challenge of how to turn written lyrics into real recordings. New music technology opened a door, allowing these songs to come to life and be shared with listeners, performers, and producers.

These songs were written to be performed live, showcasing storytelling, harmony, and emotional energy for both male and female vocals.

The result is SouthernSound.US — a catalog of original country songs designed for live performance, recording artists, and sync licensing opportunities.

I may not be the typical songwriter coming out of Nashville. I’m simply an independent writer living in Alabama who decided to push a few boundaries and see what might happen.

SouthernSound.US is the result of this journey.
